1st Thessalonians 5:23 is read “May God himsef, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together – spirit, soul and body – and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ.” MESSAGE
This suggests that the human whole is made up of three distinct parts/sections. These three sections are;
THE BODY: - The physical or the flesh and blood i.e. skeleton, muscles and organs.
THE SOUL: - The mental and emotional i.e. thoughts, feelings, conscience, will and guts.
THE SPIRIT: - The God realm which influences the soul and the body, the prime realm.
Now Jesus told us in John 4:24 that “God is sheer being itself – Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very beings, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.” MESSAGE
From the first scripture we figured that the human whole is portioned into the spirit, soul and body, but in the second scripture it was put forth that to worship God we must do it “truly” in spirit. This implies that it is possible to worship God “untruly” i.e. not in the spirit.
I will list out the three portions of the human whole and our means of worship through these portions so as to clarify the reason why the spirit is the utmost/truest form of worship.
WORSHIP FROM THE BODY: - This is the form of worship done by many “christians” today sadly. It in volves the clapping of hands, shaking of heads, movement of feet, vigorous dancing and sometimes even movement of lips without actually thinking of/taking in the meaning to the words that are being said or sung. This sort of worship is not worthy to be presented to the Lord God Almighty.
WORSHIP FROM THE SOUL: - This form of worship is also sadly seen in churches around the world; it’s that form that happens when you are singing the song, thinking of the meaning of the words and smiling to yourself about how this song is true but you are not putting your all, your being into the worship of God. This sort of worship is just halfway to how the Lord expects us to worship him.
WORSHIP FROM THE SPIRIT: - This form of worship is the perfect and purest form of worship; it is a continous form of worship. It is a worship that comes from our very being, our true selves. To worship from your being is to be in the worship. It involves giving your all to God releasing yourself totally to his control trusting in him that at the end of it all you will be better. Not putting your trust in your earthly instincts or thoughts but instead transforming those trusts or instincts into faith in the Lord.
Hence, as Christians we should endeavour to worship, truly worship God in spirit, our true being. Also, since our bodies are temples where the Lord inhabits continously, we should endeavour to keep our temples with a worship filled atmosphere. Till Jesus returns in the rapture, remain true worshippers.

Love Chronicles (Poetry) Part 1-5

You were calm soft and sweet
you had all the words of encouragement
you were more like God's gift to me
and in my times of uncertainty
you were my sure thing
I'm sorry I was a wuss
didn't have the guts to tell you
till it was too late to act on
though there were others before
you remain the one whose name is the virtue
my first love


It was sort of an instant attraction
my smarts and taunts left you sparked in subtle seduction
once the words left my lips
you jumped on them and sprung into action
Quick friends we became
losing sleep for our "tele"communication
but like all good things they say
we ended too soon
but if we ever meet again
hope our friendship stays sustained
and if our hearts re-blend
a love till the end


I'm really sorry cos I was wrong
to take advantage of your feelings so strong
I know how you felt, now I've been there
to be crazy in love and they don't even care
but I'm shocked you are still here
close at my side
a true friend you've been
despite my lies
so I promise from within
to honour your tears
cos if I counted my dear
you'd be the last from the rear


It's crazy thinking about you
cos I do it all the time
your eyes, your hair, your lips, your smile
I can go on for a while
but I feel backstabbed knowing you broke my heart
cos if we rewind it back
you had promised you'd never play that part
so now I'm Mr. Single
and your new guy can mingle
yet you still call once a month to rub it in my face
that with you I was cool
but I'm now a disgrace


We fight most of the time
words goin back and forth
till someone goes quiet
but I have you somewhere in my heart
that no argument can acquire
cos despite the blatant force I use to handle you
I can take many bullets for you through and true
and though I really find it hard to say
I wish I could hold and kiss you all day
I'm not really sorry for all the rough play
but I'm sorry I can't just find the right words to say
